UPCOMING PUBLIC TOURS
In 2026, public tours of the historic Underground Railroad Town Clock Church are scheduled for the following dates
March 14, June 13, September 12, November 14.
The hourly tours of the Town Clock Church will begin at 10:00 AM with the last tour beginning at 3:00 PM. The historic church’s antebellum congregation was involved in the Underground Railroad before, during, and after the Civil War. Tour guides will provide history of the Underground Railroad movement in the metro area.
The tour is free and open to the public, and donations are welcome. The church is now home of the Second Baptist Church congregation at 300 East Main Street in New Albany, Indiana.
The tour is sponsored by the Friends of the Town Clock Church (FTCC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the ongoing maintenance, beautification, funding, and long-term planning for this historical building. To contribute to the ongoing restoration of the church and gardens, donations can be made at the church at the time of the tour, via Givelify, or by contacting Jerry Finn, Treasurer of the Friends of The Town Clock Church, at 502–645–2332.
